Mesa, Arizona (February 20-22) LEGACY golf pro, Brittany Altomare, a Shrewsbury, Mass. native, played phenomenally in the Gateway Classic on the Road to the LPGA tour. It was certainly an exciting first event of the year for the Ladies Professional Golf Association. Longbow Golf Club in Mesa, AZ hosted the three day event on a par 72 course. Brittany played against 119 other female golfers for the championship title. She ended up with a spot in the top 5. Her final scores were 73 – 68 – 69 for a -3 total of 210. Brittany tied for 4th place with an overall par of -6. She represented the U.S. well by successfully completing three full rounds in the tournament against many competitive nations. Hannah O’Sullivan ultimately took home the first place prize.
Brittany is a post-collegiate golfer who studied at the University of Virginia. She officially went pro in May of 2013. She is happy to have completed the exhausting tour. Brittany will be participating in other LPGA tournaments later this year. She should be pleased with her scores from the February bracket. LEGACY is impressed by Brittany’s performance and proud to have signed with such a strong, talented golfer.
