Warrior AAA Invitational Alumni Reaching the Next Level

The Warrior AAA Invitational began ten years ago, which means we’re just beginning to see the first wave of talented Warrior alumni reach the next level. Ohio native Jack Roslovic, who played for the Columbus Capitals at the 2005 Warrior AAA Invite, was taken 25th overall in the 2015 NHL Draft by the Winnipeg Jets. Canadian defenseman Kyle Capobianco was drafted by the Arizona Coyotes in the 3rd round (No. 63 overall) of the 2015 Draft. NY native and former Wheatfield Blades standout Joe Cecconi was taken by the Dallas Stars in the 5th round (No. 133 overall). Defenseman Nick Boka was drafted in the 6th round (No. 171 overall) by the Minnesota Wild. Boka played for the Farmington Fire at Warrior AAA in 2005. Left winger Adam Marsh was selected 200th overall in the 7th round by the Detroit Red Wings. Finally, a goalie from the Mt Clemens Wolves at the 2005 Warrior AAA Invite, Ryan Bednard, was drafted 206th overall by the Florida Panthers in the 7th round.  The event has only become more competitive since the inaugural year and we look forward to following the next wave of young standouts as they pursue their hockey dreams. This year’s Warrior AAA Invitational kicks off on October 16th in Michigan!
